Responsibilities

• Lead, train and coach production workers.
• Plan and report on daily production output.
• Enforce workplace safety and compliance.
• Identify operational issues and recommend actions.
• Conduct monthly stock takes and maintain records.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years preferably in ferrous processing, metal recycling, or manufacturing operations.
• Languages: Proficient in Malay, English, and Chinese (spoken and written), IT knowledge essential.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel for reporting, data analysis, and operational tracking.

Job Responsibilities

1. Scrap Handling & Operations
   • Operate and supervise the use of heavy machinery (e.g. 3 & 5 ton forklifts, excavators with magnet/shearer, overhead crane) for loading, unloading, and processing ferrous scrap materials.
   • Oversee the receipt, sorting, segregation, and delivery of ferrous scrap to ensure quality and value recovery.
   • Conduct inspections to ensure processed scrap meets customer and quality standards.
2. Equipment Maintenance & Efficiency
   • Monitor machinery conditions, ensure timely lubrication, cleaning, and schedule preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
   • Optimize equipment usage, reduce energy consumption, and implement cost-saving measures in operations.
3. Team Supervision & Training
   • Lead, train and coach production workers; manage scheduling, performance appraisal, and job assignments.
   • Arrange resources for on-site and outstation jobs, including equipment, manpower, PPE and safety requirements.
4. Production Monitoring & Reporting
   • Plan, monitor and report on daily production output and work progress.
   • Compile performance data such as production output, costs, and efficiency for reporting purposes.
5. Safety Compliance
   • Enforce workplace safety, cleanliness, and compliance with environmental and company regulations.
   • Conduct regular safety briefings inspections to minimize risks and workplace hazards.
6. Process Improvement
   • Identify operational issues, investigate root causes, recommend corrective actions, and implement improvements.
   • Continuously seek opportunities to improve workflow, productivity, and reduce operational costs.
7. Inventory & Stock Control
   • Conduct monthly stock takes and maintain accurate scrap inventory records.
8. General Duties
   • Carry out any other duties assigned by the Head Of Department as required.
