Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Facade engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in facade engineering, a thorough understanding of facade systems and materials, and a proven ability to deliver innovative solutions for complex projects. This role demands technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary Global teams.

You will join our High-Rise Buildings Department

As our new Façade Engineer, you will be part of our global High-Rise department, Ramboll’s dedicated team of high-rise experts which have designed over 150 tall building projects globally, including some of the most technically challenging. You would be responsible to coordinate with project managers and/or engineers for Analysis and Design work in the High-Rise department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and analyze facade systems using advanced structural and FEA software.
• Conduct technical reviews, including shop drawings, structural calculations, and material specifications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, as well as international and local codes related to facade design.
• Support all project stages, including design development, documentation, and site supervision.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation throughout various project phases.
• Provide proactive problem-solving and demonstrate initiative to address design challenges effectively.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• To review, evaluate and attend visual mock-up inspections and performance mock-up testing
• To conduct site and factory visits to inspect the fabrication of façade elements during production, monitor on-site installation during construction, and witness field testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with a facade contractor or consultancy.
• Local experience in facade design engineering is required
• Strong knowledge of facade systems, materials, and their applications.
• Proficiency in structural and FEA software such as Strand7, Staad, SJ Mepla, Flixo, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in Computer Skills MS Office, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and AutoCAD.
• Solid understanding of facade-related industry standards, as well as international and local codes.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in technical reviews and site supervision is an added advantage.
