A leading accounting firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Accounting professional to perform complex general accounting functions and manage accounts receivable and inventory. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 4-5 years of relevant experience and proficiency in Microsoft applications and Autocount system. Strong command of English and Bahasa is required. This role offers the opportunity to work independently as well as collaboratively across departments.
Perform complex general accounting functions, including preparation of journal entries, account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
Overseeing and handle Accounting Receivable and Inventory Management (FG, RM and PM) includes stock take exercise.
Review collection reports to determine the status of collections and the amounts of outstanding balances.
Support the preparation and submission of monthly reporting to headquarters.
Ensure compliance with local tax, accounting standard, and regulatory requirements and coordinate internal and external auditors.
Drive process improvement and system enhancement to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Minimum 4 - 5 years of relevance experience in accounting/finance.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Computer Literacy : Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point & Autocount system
Good command of English and Bahasa, both written and verbal.
Understanding of basic principles of Accounting and Bookkeeping.
Strong command of details and deadlines.
Self-motivated and can work independently during month-end closures.
Good team player with strong communications skills to collaborate across various departments and level.
