Job summary

A retail management firm in Subang Jaya is seeking an Executive/Senior Executive in Design & Fit-Out Services. This role involves overseeing tenant design submissions, coordinating fit-out projects, and ensuring compliance with mall regulations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Architecture or Interior Design, at least 2 years of experience, and proficiency in relevant design software. English and Bahasa Melayu skills are required, and knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Exposure to current design trends in retail or commercial designs.
• Competence in vernacular languages such as Chinese and Tamil is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review tenant concept design submissions and provide design directions.
• Coordinate fit-out works with tenant’s fit-out team.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify compliance with approved submissions.
• Perform inspections with tenant and superior after completion.
• Coordinate to resolve landlord provisions and tenant requests.
• Update mall master plan and tenancy plans.

To comment and review tenant concept design submissions for their outlets. Providing design directions and store planning advice to tenants and their appointed designers.

Performs hands-on fit-out coordination works with the tenant’s fit-out team.

Regular site visits to monitor and verify that all works are done in accordance with approved submissions and compliance with mall regulations.

Set and perform inspection with tenant and superior upon completion of each project prior to business commencements.

Coordination between internal departments (Leasing Team, Technical Team) and external parties (Architect, M&E consultant) to ensure all necessary landlord provisions and tenant’s requests and issues are resolved.

Regularly update on mall master plan, tenancy plans, and landlord provision schedule, ensure the info is accurate and up to date.

To prepare study plan and related drawing based on leasing request.

Prepare and submit regular reports on the progress of fit-out projects, including any challenges, delays, and resolutions to mall management.

• Good interpersonal skills and demonstrates the ability to work in a team.
