Responsible for creation of procurement, and inventory management activities to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of products. This role involves developing production schedules, managing material requirements and smooth store kitting, procuring components to support production so as to prevent stoppages/delay of boards assembly.
Job Duties
- Fulfill monthly targeted billings and on time delivery to customers.
- Follow up with respective department on the status of materials and related project information.
- Conduct periodic meetings to review project status and recovery plan.
- Update records and information on materials and issues encountered on projects.
- Generate reports on project status updates and communicate with respective departments/customers.
- Maximise utilisation of production capacity.
- Improve methodology/systems in execution of job scope.
- Expedite operations that delay/alter schedules to meet unforeseen circumstances.
- Provide status updates on weekly status meetings with respective dept as well as customers.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and implement inventory control measures to optimise inventory turnover and prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Issue purchase orders, expedite deliveries, and negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and procurement teams to develop accurate production schedules and ensure alignment with customer demand and production capacity.
- Generate and manage production plans, release work orders, and schedule production activities to meet delivery commitments and optimise resource utilisation.
- Coordinate with logistics and receiving departments to ensure proper receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming materials and components.
- Comply with legal, corporate, and quality policy requirements.
- Any other jobs assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Materials Management, Business Studies, or relevant fields.
- 3 years prior experience in purchasing, ability to work with supply chain, preferably in a PCBA assembly setting.
