Job description
Responsibilities
  • Planning, sourcing material, sample order and accessory management.
  • Handle orders from sampling to shipment to ensure delivery within agreed cost, quality and timelines.
  • Lead all product development after the designing phase through prototype samples, fit samples and production samples.
  • Communicate effectively with departments such as Marketing, Designing, Sampling, and Factory for timely approvals and to resolve issues that may delay shipment.
  • Handle regular purchasing material duties and administrative tasks.
  • Monitor and coordinate product development till final sample accuracy, quality checks, measurements, comments for changes, final approvals and quotations.
  • Prepare cost sheets to determine selling price.
  • Address quality issues with Customer Service, buyers and factory.
  • Handle shipment and work closely with forwarders.
  • Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers’ expectations and company objectives.
  • Analyse sales figures, customer reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock.
  • Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, distributors and analysts to negotiate prices, quantities and time-scales as needed.
  • Forecast profits/sales and plan budgets.
  • Build constructive customer relationships and collaborate with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals.
  • Remain up to date with industry’s best practices.
  • Responsible for merchandise replenishment, allocation and consolidation.
  • Develop sales analyses to monitor product sales performance and provide insights for the buying plan.
  • Ensure inventory levels are maintained in line with budget, Open to Buy, and sell-through targets.
  • Arrange products for photo shooting and maintain product descriptions, specifications, digital assets and categorizations.
  • Assist supervisors to deliver efficient and accurate tasks within deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Merchandising, Fashion, or related field.
  • Proven working experience as a merchandiser or in a similar role, preferably in the fashion industry.
  • Familiarity with men's bag development and the overall fashion market (3+ years preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise between the design team, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas and requirements to ensure alignment.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize tasks; proactive and self-motivated.
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Management or related field.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to manage high SKU volumes.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables is a plus).
