Executive – ICT Applications Developer & Support Engineer

The Exec – ICT Applications Developer & Support Engineer is responsible for the application development, SQL query coding, Power BI dashboard, Google Workspace development and application support throughout the school by ensuring that the services meet quality standards, and are functional, secure, and scalable based on the needs of the school and standardize according to Taylor’s School best practice.
KEY RESULTS AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible to setup, code and troubleshoot scheduler job via scripting and Power‑Shell on application server, SFTP and SSRS server within the school and other supported Taylor’s Schools.
- Responsible to review, understand and develop API integration for Student Management System, CRM and other applications used within the school and other supported Taylor’s Schools.
- Familiar with Google Workspace scripting and ability to automate tasks with coding and scripting.
- Familiar with open source WordPress & HTML5.
- Responsible to perform any software application development or support via Google Workspace, MS Power BI, MS SQL Query and MS SQL within the school environment.
- Responsible to support, troubleshoot, maintain and participate in requirement gathering process on any existing and future enhancement of the Cashless and Card Access System within the school environment.
- Responsible to support the Student Information Management, Library System, LMS and other integrated system on issue reported, follow‑up, apply patch and version updates to resolve the issue with the vendor.
- Responsible for documenting service log, keeping track of version upgrades, handling enhancements and improvements to system applications and providing telephone technical support to the school community and other supported Taylor’s Schools.
- Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting system applications for office applications and other software applications within the school environment.
- Responsible for keeping track of ICT resources tagging, allocations and assignments as well as managing the In/Our forms within the department.
JOB TASKS
- To support, troubleshoot, maintain and apply updates on Student Information Management, Library System, LMS and other integrated systems within the school.
- To setup, code and troubleshoot scheduler job via scripting and Power‑Shell on application server, SFTP and SSRS server within the school and other supported Taylor’s Schools on system integration standardization.
- To review, understand and develop API integration for Student Management System, CRM and other applications used within the school and other supported Taylor’s Schools on system integration standardization.
- Familiar with Google Workspace scripting and ability to automate tasks with coding and scripting.
- Provide operational statistics and reports as and when required.
- Employ safe working practices and to comply with relevant Health and Safety regulations.
- Undertake tasks that may be assigned by the ICT Manager.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
RELATED EXPERIENCE
- 3‑5 year’s of working experience in Application Development and System Support.
- Able and familiar with Google Workspace scripting and multiple 3rd party tools to simplify work processes.
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to perform various tasks in succession.
- Ability to speak and write good English.
