The Executive (HSSE) will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our commercial assets and properties. They will develop and implement strategies to maintain a safe and secure environment in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. The role demands a strong understanding of security standards, regulatory compliance and safety management systems, and the ability to effectively manage operational risks. They will coordinate, execute and facilitate the implementation of the KLCCUH HSE Management System and program, including policies, procedures, system and processes in line with PETRONAS integrated Group HSE objectives and strategies and in compliance with the relevant statutory requirements.
Accountabilities
- Plan and direct HSE management system implementation in HSE operation (manuals, procedures, work instructions, guidelines).
- Plan and direct HSEMS in accordance with PETRONAS HSEMS, ISO45001 & ISO14001.
- Lead and monitor the implementation of the annual HSE Plan at UH managed facilities sites based on KLCCUH HSE strategic objectives.
Governance
- Lead and drive the governance of contractor management for safety-related issues.
- Coordinate the Safety Marshall operation and scheduling.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Provide advisory on incident reporting process.
- Monitor implementation of action items, recommendations and lessons learned from accidents across UH managed facilities.
Performance Management
- Track HSE operation performance and issue NCR, NOI & SWO for contractors.
Requirements
- Educational qualification: degree in HSE, Engineering or equivalent.
- Years of overall experience: up to 5 years in managing HSE.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the HSSE team, providing strategic direction and guidance.
- Develop and implement HSSE policies, procedures and programs across all commercial assets.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of safety and security measures, including emergency response plans.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations and best practices in HSSE management.
- Manage and evaluate tender processes for HSSE-related services and contractors.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including tenants, contractors and government agencies, to ensure compliance and effective communication.
- Investigate and report on incidents, near misses and accidents, implementing corrective actions.
- Provide training and education to staff on HSSE matters, promoting a culture of safety.
- Monitor and analyse HSSE performance data, identifying areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in safety and security management, preferably in a commercial asset/property management setting.
- In-depth knowledge of security standards, safety management systems and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in tender processing, including preparation, evaluation and contractor coordination.
- Engineering background (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent) is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent incident management and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions and manage operational risks effectively.
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools for HSSE management is an advantage.
