Job Description

Plan, coordinate, and implement HSE measures to provide a safe, healthy, and conducive work environment that meets HSE performance targets, national regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities
Business / Operations
  • Stay current on emerging safety and health standards and report new updates to management and the Safety and Health Committee.
  • Identify emerging health issues (e.g., disease, epidemics) and propose a timely action plan to management and the Committee.
  • Propose day‑to‑day solutions for safety and health issues that affect personnel and property, and discuss with management and the Committee.
  • Inspect plant and office facilities weekly in accordance with an inspection checklist to ensure compliance with safety standards and highlight any deficiencies.
  • Resolve citations issued by government inspectors and revise safety and health policy to avoid recurrence.
  • Investigate accidents, provide a cause‑of‑accident report, and consider findings within a reasonable time frame after each accident.
  • Organise training on fire drill, first aid, chemicals spilled/leakage, and other areas that strengthen Health, Safety, and Environment.
  • Organise and coordinate safety and health meetings, including arranging for minutes to be taken.
  • Study adequacy of safety and fire‑fighting equipment in each department, discuss with respective department heads, and arrange purchase of new equipment if required. Train supervisors and executives on correct usage and document training.
  • Conduct regular inspection and testing of all safety and fire‑fighting equipment to ensure they are in good working condition and service them timely.
People / Stakeholder Management
  • Provide training, guidance, and coaching to subordinates (if any).
  • Provide training to all employees to ensure compliance with all HSE requirements.
  • Navigate and influence multiple stakeholders across different cultures and perspectives to promote Safety, Health, and Environment awareness within the organization and achieve results.
Others
  • Any other tasks assigned by the superior.
Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HSE equivalentli>
  • Minimum Diploma with 5 years of related experience.
Work Experience
  • Fresh Graduate or 2 years of working experience with similar roles and responsibilities preferred.

  • Good verbal & written communication skills.
