Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for leveraging Lean Manufacturing methodology, planning and executing process overhaul and/or upgrade programs for the organisation. Facilitate a team of employees and coordinate and implement improvement initiatives across the organisation.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • To maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems to enable production to meet the objective of High Quality, Cost Effectiveness and On Time Delivery (QCD).
  • To research new manufacturing technology and develop innovative solutions to improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
  • Responsible for the support and integration of continuous improvement efforts at the site, which includes driving existing efforts to meet productivity targets.
  • Plan and coordinate training for others who will support the execution of continuous improvement strategies and tools.
  • Lead problem‑solving efforts to improve quality and eliminate waste/cost of poor performance at each plant.
  • Apply statistical methods and analysis to improve process capability, reduce process variation and optimise breakthrough performance.
  • Design, drive and perform operational analysis of the manufacturing processes.
  • Identify key elements of process improvement and partner with process owners to deliver sustainable and repeatable change; prepare improvement indexes and related reports.
  • Function as a process improvement expert regarding tasks, projects and operations.
  • Network and share best practice with other locations.
  • Conduct regular and periodic audits with regard to improvement projects.
  • The role will take responsibility for coaching, training, baseline and transferring best practices internally.
  • Any other task given by superior.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, preferably in Industrial, Process, Mechanical or Manufacturing.
  • Minimum 1–2 years working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Preferably familiar with Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) projects.
  • Process improvement skills with prior continuous improvement experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead change and motivate at all levels within the organisation and deliver business transformation results.
  • Solid technical skills using PowerPoint, Excel, Word and AutoCAD.
