A leading construction firm in Selangor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage project documentation, prepare progress claims, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely payments. The ideal candidate should have a minimum Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, along with at least one year of experience in relevant fields. Strong communication skills in English are essential for this role, which involves regular interaction with consultants and contractors.
Prepare and submit progress claims and related documents (VO, insurance, etc.) on time.
Attend internal/external meetings and follow up with consultants/main contractors on certifications.
Ensure timely payment by coordinating with Project, Sales, and Credit teams; assist in collections.
Support in agreements (e.g., temporary use, settlement), resolve final accounts within 3 months post-completion.
Use SAP for invoicing, VO input, reconciliation; initiate follow-ups for unpaid or uncertified items.
Provide contract advice and support, including claims evaluation, LAD/back charge management, and negotiations.
Manage banker’s guarantees, performance bonds, and ensure cancellation upon job completion.
Coordinate with insurance brokers to secure the required project insurance.
Ensure compliance with regulatory submissions (CIDB, NIOSH, etc.).
Maintain regular reporting, database updates, and meet group requirements.
Minimum Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying.
Minimum 1 year of experience in construction, consultancy, or developer-related roles.
Good communication and writing in English.
Communicate well with internal and external customer.
