A prominent educational institution in Malaysia seeks an Executive for Alumni Events, Engagement & Branding. This role involves planning and executing alumni and career events, marketing initiatives, and engaging stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of related experience. The Executive - Alumni & Career Events and Branding supports the planning, coordination, and promotion of university-wide events and campaigns related to alumni engagement, employability, and industry partnerships. This role plays a vital part in connecting students, employers, and alumni through impactful programmes and communications that enhance the Sunway University Careers & Alumni (CXA) brand, strengthen partnerships, and celebrate the success of the Sunway community. These strategic initiatives and signature programmes include CXA, Success Coach, XceEd, The X-Factor Coaching, CareerXAlumni branding, and Sunway Alumni Champions.
Assist in planning, coordinating and executing career and alumni events, including Career Fairs, and other graduates networking Sessions.
Support faculty-level and industry-specific events in collaboration with departments and partners.
Manage on-site coordination and post-event follow-ups such as surveys, reports, and social media highlights.
Support the branding and marketing of alumni and career events across digital and physical platforms.
Develop write-ups and creative content for the CXA website, newsletter, and social media and produce campaign materials for signature programmes and events.
Ensure brand consistency of all events and content with the Sunway University identity and strategic initiatives.
Support the engagement of alumni and employers as mentors, speakers, recruiters, or collaborators in university programmes.
Maintain updated contact databases and event attendance records using CRM or alumni management systems.
Assist in strengthening communication channels with alumni chapters, class representatives, and industry partners.
Prepare event documentation including budgets, quotations, reports, and visual documentation.
Track event participation, engagement metrics, and feedback for continuous improvement.
Provide administrative support for meetings, campaigns, and office initiatives as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Public Relations, or related field.
2 to 3 years of experience in event management, marketing, or alumni/career engagement
Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and CRM systems is an advantage.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
Excellent event management and coordination skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Creative eye for branding, visual design, and digital storytelling.
Proficient writing and social media skills.
Proficiency in design and marketing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, Meta Business Suite).
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and timelines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
