Overview

DONCE is a wedding & event design studio focused on spatial transformation, structure, and atmosphere. Our work goes beyond visuals — ideas are developed with the intention to be built, scaled, and experienced. We work closely with fabricators and on-site teams, which means design thinking must be clear, practical, and grounded in reality.

We are looking for an Event Designer who can move fluidly between concept and execution — someone who understands aesthetics, space, and proportion, and is comfortable turning ideas into precise, buildable outputs.

Responsibilities

• Translate briefs into design directions and moodboards
• Design event layouts and structural elements with clear sense of scale and flow
• Prepare floor plans and structure drawings to scale (Adobe Illustrator)
• Produce clear production files for execution, such as structure drawings, layout files, material references, or print-ready assets
• Conduct site recces, take measurements, and adapt designs to real spatial conditions
• Collaborate closely with project managers, fabricators, printers, and on-site teams
• Support installation to ensure design intent is executed accurately

Requirements

• Background in Interior Design, Architecture, Spatial Design, Graphic Design, or related fields
• Strong understanding of space, materials, and construction logic
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator (essential), Photoshop
• Comfortable working with measurements, specifications, and technical details
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to think through execution, not just visuals

Added Advantage

• Training in interior design or architecture
• Experience in events, exhibitions, stage design, or installations
• 3D visualisation skills (SketchUp, Blender, 3ds Max, etc.)
• Knowledge of After Effects / screen animation (not compulsory)
