Job summary

A leading technology company in Penang is seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Engineer to sustain and improve wafer sort test equipment performance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and over 6 years of experience in equipment maintenance, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing. Key responsibilities include supporting Advantest V93k testers, troubleshooting tester-prober interface issues, and ensuring equipment uptime during operations. This role requires independence and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Sustain, maintain, and improve wafer sort test equipment performance.
  • Support and maintain Advantest V93k testers and TEL probers (e.g., TEL Prexio XL & TEL Prexa).
  • Troubleshoot tester‑prober interface issues (e.g., contact fails, alignment, comm errors).
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance, calibrations, and correlation runs.
  • Ensure test equipment uptime and fast recovery during downtime.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineers on test cell stability and yield improvements.
  • Coordinate with vendors for tool maintenance and upgrades.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and cost‑reduction projects.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or above.
  • At least 6 years of industrial experience in equipment development or equipment maintenance.
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Experienced in tester maintenance and test background.
  • Team player.
  • Independent, resourceful, and takes initiative.
