Qualifications

Job description

Overview

• Supervise and monitor daily wastewater treatment processes to ensure efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee the operation of instrumentation, controls, and equipment related to the IETS system.
• Ensure proper sampling, testing, and analysis of wastewater in accordance with Standard A requirements.
• Manage the handling, storage, and disposal of sludge and other by-products in line with regulatory standards.
• Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs for IETS equipment, with mitigation plans for critical assets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to IETS to prevent downtime and non-compliance.
• Develop Safe Work Procedure for IETS operations.
• Ensure safe work practices are implemented and followed in IETS operations.

IETS Compliance & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of IETS performance, including chemical usage, discharge quality, and related parameters.
• Prepare and submit required statutory reports to DOE and other regulatory authorities, as well as internal performance reports, within agreed timelines.
• Ensure IETS operations are carried out in compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements.
• Maintain and organize all purchase requests, invoices, and documentation related to IETS operation.
• Supervise and ensure compliance of company operations with environmental legislation, permits, and DOE requirements.
• Review environmental monitoring results and ensure timely submission of statutory reports.
• Conduct internal environmental audits and inspections across operations.
• Identify, raise, and escalate issues pertaining to environmental non-compliance, and coordinate corrective/preventive actions.

HSE Programs

• Support the implementation of HSE programs across operations.

Requires Skills & Ability

• Certified Environmental Professional in IETS (CePIETSO (PCP))
• Other Environmental Competency will be an added advantage i.e. CePSWAM, CePSO, CePBFO
• Good understanding on Scrubber and Back Filter Operation.
• Proficient in MS Office (Words, Excel & Power Point).
• Good communication skill (English and Malay language).
