Job summary

A construction company is seeking an Environmental Manager to implement environmental management systems at project sites in Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering and experience in environmental control measures. Key responsibilities include preparing reports, conducting inspections, and advising the construction team. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering Environmental, CESSWI, CePSWaM.
• Must have the Certificate of CePSWaM and CISEC.
• At least 2-3 years working experience in the related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Implement Environmental Management System at project site.
• Advise construction team on environmental control measures.
• Prepare environmental reports to management and authorities.
• Conduct site inspections and issue observations as necessary.

Job description

Overview

• Implement Environmental Management System at project site and comply with EIA approval conditions, ESCP, EMP, ISO 14001 and other legal requirements

Responsibilities

• Advise or propose to construction team in environmental improvements, preventive or corrective actions for environmental control measures as necessary and ensure proper rectification works have been implemented
• Responsible to prepare all environmental reports to management and relevant authorities whenever required
• Carry out site inspection and to issue out observation or NCR if necessary and update NCR
• To organize environmental meetings at work site
• To organize and conduct environmental induction talks to construction workers
• Handle enforcement visits by Local Authorities, DOE and others

Job Requirements

• Must have the Certificate of CePSWaM (Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management) and CISEC (Certified Inspector of Sediment and Erosion Control).
• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering Environmental, CESSWI, CePSWaM.
• At least 2-3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Engineering - Environmental or equivalent
• Possess working experience in Earthwork & Infrastructure will be an added advantage
• Well versed in Environmental Management System
• Required Skill(s): Ms Office
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia & English
• Applicant must be willing to work at Kuala Lumpur East
• Immediate availability to start work is preferred.
