Job summary

A leading beverage manufacturer in Malaysia is seeking an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Senior Executive to ensure compliance with corporate standards and local regulations. The candidate will manage audits, advise leadership on EHS matters, and promote a positive safety culture. A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health and 5-8 years of experience in the manufacturing industry are required. Experience with compliance audits is a bonus. Qualifications

  • Valid and registered Safety and Health Officer with DOSH, evidenced by the mandatory 'Green Book'.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive EHS experience in the Manufacturing Industry.
  • Experience with major social compliance audits is highly advantageous.

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Senior Executive

Crown Beverage Cans – Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive plant EHS procedures and policies, ensuring strict adherence to corporate standards and all relevant local legislation and government regulatory requirements.

Act as the designated Safety & Health Officer (SHO), executing all duties as mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and other applicable regulations.

Advise plant leadership and personnel on all EHS matters to ensure continuous legal and corporate compliance.

Audit & Reporting

Lead and manage the preparation, execution, and follow-up for all internal and external EHS audits to verify the effectiveness of the plant's management systems.

Conduct monthly EHS audits and regular site inspections, promptly identifying and mitigating hazards, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts.

Prepare, analyze, and submit comprehensive monthly EHS performance reports to the Regional Asia Pacific (AP) management team.

Execute the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) process across the facility.

Implement and coordinate the integration of safety rules and control measures into daily plant activities to prevent incidents.

Perform regular inspections of safety‑critical equipment, including the fire alarm system, pump house, firefighting equipment, and fire hydrants.

Lead all accident and near‑miss investigations, accurately determining root causes and developing effective corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).

Promote and cultivate a strong, positive safety culture throughout the plant, emphasizing proactive and healthy work practices in all daily operations.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES

Valid and registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), evidenced by the mandatory "Green Book".

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), Environmental Safety, or a related discipline in Engineering or Applied Science.

Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive EHS working experience within the Manufacturing Industry.

Demonstrated expertise in major social compliance audits SMETA / BSCI / SA8000 / RBA / WRAP / FSLM / ISO 45001 is highly advantageous.
