Job summary

A leading packaging technology firm seeks an experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Officer cum HOD to lead the Safety Department. Responsibilities include managing safety-related activities, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, and developing safety policies. The ideal candidate should have 5-8 years of experience in OSHA, strong leadership and communication skills, and a recognized Safety Officer certification. The role is based in Pulau Indah, Port Klang, offering a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

Job description

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Officer cum HOD

1. Lead and manage the Safety Department, including planning, organizing, and supervising safety-related activities
2. Develop, implement, and monitor company safety policies, procedures, and programs
3. Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, EQA, and other statutory safety regulations
4. Good communication and connection with all departments willingness to work OT and fast peace environment.
5. Strong knowledge / experience in OSHA safety monitoring, document control, compliance / SW activities and so on.
6. Possess a Safety Officer certification recognized by DOSH (e.g. SHO Certificate)
7. Able to liaise with government authorities, auditors, and external agencies on safety matters.
8. Continuously improve safety standards and promote a proactive safety culture.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum 5–8 years of working experience in OSHA, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
2. Experience in handling audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
3. Ensure safety signages, PPE usage, and housekeeping compliance at the workplace.
4. Experience managing a full safety department ; Knowledge of ISO 45001 or similar safety standards is an advantage.
5. Knowledge of ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 standards is an advantage.
6. Familiar with OSHA, EQA, or country-specific legislation is an advantage.
7. Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and make sound safety-related decisions.
8. Competent personOYKSHO (GB) and CepSWam.
9. Able to work in our factory in Pulau Indah, Port Klang.
