Responsibilities
  • Engineering Leadership & Team Development
    • Lead process engineers and technicians.
    • Ensure engineering structure, training, skill development and competency growth.
    • Assign technical tasks, review performance, and drive accountability.
  • Process Engineering & Optimization
    • Establish machining process parameters, tooling selection, fixture concepts, and work instructions.
    • Improve machine cycle time, OEE, tool life, scrap rate, rework rate, and production cost.
    • Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S and root cause elimination on shop-floor.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI)
    • Lead DFM/DFA review, prototype trials, capability validation, and mass production readiness.
    • Responsible for engineering documents: SOP, WI, PFMEA, control plan, tool list.
    • Ensure smooth transition from trial stage to stable manufacturing.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration
    • Coordinate with Production, QA, Industrial Engineering, Procurement and Planning.
    • Solve technical problems related to machining accuracy, tool wear, stability, fixture, and quality.
    • Support customer technical discussion, feasibility evaluation, and escalation matters.
  • Equipment, Tooling & Technology
    • Plan machine capacity, tooling strategy, fixture investment and automation adoption.
    • Evaluate existing equipment performance and improve availability.
    • Promote digitalization and advanced manufacturing technology.
  • Quality, Compliance & Documentation
    • Ensure engineering practices meet quality system.
    • Apply 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, DMAIC for quality issues.
    • Maintain traceable engineering records and revision control.
