A leading energy solutions company in Malaysia is seeking a Process Engineer to enhance product development and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate should have 4-6 years of experience in process engineering, strong skills in SPC, FMEA, and Lean manufacturing. Responsibilities include coordinating product transfers, leading quality initiatives, and improving production efficiency. The Process Engineer performs engineering work in basic and applied research, development, design of new products and/or sustaining of existing products. Be qualified to work on ECR & ECO. The position is hands‑on, requiring proficiency in both automated and manual equipment, and aims to enhance the competency of operations and engineering staff.
Follow the new product transfer status by coordinating with FC Eng team and local logistic team.
Responsible for line capacity planning and first pass yield improvement plan.
Lead the product quality team on the program of Cycle time reduction, capacity expansion.
Follow daily production issue, lead the team on increasing yield, improving product quality, reducing the manufacturing cost.
Follow the customer quality feedback, prepare corrective action and monitor the implementation.
Establish product quality team to improve product performance on RTY DPU and OOB DPPM.
Set up goals for the individual production line and lead the process team to achieve the goal.
Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of Conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
Other duties as assigned.
Works in a fast‑paced engineering/manufacturing lab environment.
Also works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.).
Troubleshoots high voltage power supplies.
Overtime may be necessary in times of increased demand.
Have good knowledge in SPC, FMEA, Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Have knowledge in Design Of Experiment (DOE) will be an added advantage.
Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
Poses strong statistical data analysis, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and handle moderately complex engineering assignments in a fast‑paced environment.
Self‑motivated, possess initiative and ability to work independently.
Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience working in a manufacturing process engineering and new product introduction (NPI) environment.
Familiar with ISO quality system.
Familiar with the Semiconductor Assembly BE process.
Have good knowledge in 6sigma, SPC, FMEA, lean manufacturing.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.
