Job Summary
The Engineer, Incoming Quality Control (Warehouse) is responsible for providing governance and assurance over the receipt, inspection, and preservation of inventory within the Warehouse Department. This role works closely with Warehouse, Engineering & Facilities, and Procurement teams to ensure all incoming materials meet approved technical specifications, quality standards, and fit‑for‑use requirements. The position also supports audit activities and ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, statutory requirements, and quality management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform receipt verification and incoming quality inspections, ensuring quantities, part numbers, packaging, and technical specifications comply with approved procurement and engineering requirements.
  • Conduct physical inspections to identify defects, damage, corrosion, contamination, or non‑conformities and initiate Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) where applicable.
  • Ensure accurate identification, traceability, and system release of approved inventory, maintaining strict inventory control and quality compliance.
  • Monitor vendor delivery quality, document issues, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions to improve supplier performance.
  • Ensure proper preservation, storage, and handling of inventory and spare parts to prevent deterioration or damage, including execution of planned preservation activities.
  • Act as a quality focal point during internal and external audits, ensuring full adherence to SOPs, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, mechanical maintenance, or a related role.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Good analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to perform effectively under time constraints and changing conditions.
