Job summary

A leading environmental services company in Kuala Lumpur is looking for an Engineer/Executive for Technology & Innovation. The role requires coordinating and supervising R&D projects related to sustainable sewerage services, conducting investigative studies, and ensuring compliance in laboratory activities. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in the water/wastewater industry, along with good communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Qualifications

  • Adequate knowledge of Malaysian sewerage system and WSIA 2006.

Responsibilities

ENGINEER/EXECUTIVE - TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION

Coordinate and supervise structured R&D projects to ensure timely execution and effective delivery of solutions that support sustainable sewerage services.

Coordinate, supervise, and monitor pilot trials to ensure they are executed objectively and successfully.

Conduct in-house investigative studies to identify and propose feasible solutions for sewerage service improvements.

Supervise R&D laboratory activities at IWRC to ensure compliance with established standards and requirements.

Plan, coordinate, and implement programs and initiatives that enhance the overall R&D output.

Disseminate R&D knowledge and promote innovation, including supporting research collaborations.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Sciences (Environmental, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry) or equivalent from recognized universities.

Minimum 5 years’ working experience related to water/wastewater industries.

Adequate knowledge of the Malaysian sewerage system and the WSIA 2006.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Good command of both written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English.
