Job description

Engineer, Electronic Firmware main task is more incline to firmware and algorithm support. His/Her main role is to integrate the firmware to hardware on product design. Manage the firmware and hardware BOM, perform the coding test and assess the firmware on product performance and function.

Job Responsibilities
  • Researching, creating, testing and documenting IoT solutions.
  • Designing, coding and testing aspects of IoT devices.
  • Providing solutions to difficulties linked to the connectivity of networks and platforms.
  • Developing software that monitors and executes processes.
  • Designing platform solutions that are cloud-compatible and work with IoT applications.
  • Developing software that allows IoT devices to function and connect to other devices.
  • Schematic entry and PCB layout.
  • Embedded System Design, multiple sensors integration.
  • Evaluate, characterize, and qualify new RF and digital designs.
  • Write embedded C/C++ Firmware for support of Hardware design testing and verification.
  • Troubleshooting, and design verification/qualification of hardware prototypes.
  • Creating bill-of-material and technical documentation.
  • Ensuring product compliance with applicable electromagnetic and safety standards ( ESD, EMI/EMC).
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering ( firmware ), microelectronics
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems, microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM, AVR), and firmware development lifecycle.
  • Good knowledge of BLE protocols, ESD protection in software handling, and EMC/EMI considerations for firmware design.
  • Familiarity with consumer and medical product regulations (e.g., IEC 62304 for medical software), RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS), and wireless communication standards will be a Plus.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C/C++ for embedded systems, with experience in IDEs (e.g., Keil, IAR, or Eclipse).
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for firmware-hardware interactions, using simulation tools and hardware debuggers.
  • Ability to manage firmware elements in BOMs, including version control (e.g., Git) and dependency tracking.
  • Experience in verification/validation testing, code optimization, and integrating firmware with hardware like PCBs or FPCs (Flexible Printed Circuits) as a plus.
  • Effective collaboration skills for working with hardware engineers, external partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • Innovative mindset to contribute to 0-to-1 design, adapting firmware to emerging technologies in consumer and medical fields.
  • Adaptability to learn new tools, protocols, and standards quickly.
  • Attention to detail for ensuring firmware reliability, security, and compliance in high-stakes applications.
