Job summary

A leading elevator company in North Malaysia is seeking an experienced elevator technician to perform testing and commissioning after installation. Responsibilities include setting controller parameters, conducting safety tests, and providing technical guidance to the installation team. Candidates should have 7-10 years of experience, strong skills in diagnosing issues, and must be able to travel across Penang, Perak, and Kedah. Good communication skills and a dedication to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years experience in elevator testing and commissioning or service.
• Hands-on experience with gearless and MRL systems required.
• Capable of traveling across Penang, Perak, and Kedah.

Responsibilities

• Perform full testing and commissioning of elevators after installation.
• Set controller parameters and run safety tests.
• Conduct quality control inspections prior to handover.

Job description

Location: North Malaysia (Primary areas: Penang, Perak, Kedah)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full testing and commissioning of elevators after installation
• Set controller parameters, run safety tests, and complete T&C checklists
• Conduct QC inspections prior to handover
• Support the installation team with technical guidance when required
• Diagnose issues and perform fault finding & troubleshooting
• Provide daily progress updates through JotForm or the assigned reporting system
• Coordinate with HQ and project teams for scheduling, documentation, and approvals

Required Skills & Experience

• 7-10 years experience in elevator T&C or service
• Strong understanding of controller logic, parameter settings, safety tests, and standards
• Able to read wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and installation drawings
• Hands-on experience with gearless and MRL systems
• Good communication skills and customer interaction ability
• Must be able to travel across Penang, Perak, and Kedah and other northern parts.

Additional Requirements

• Must strictly follow safety and PPE requirements.
• Daily reporting through JotForm is mandatory.
• Should be capable of handling T&C independently
• Must coordinate closely with the North installation team and HQ (KL).
