Job summary

A leading manufacturing company located in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a candidate to support the daily operations of the electropolishing and passivation line. The role involves preparing parts, operating equipment, monitoring process parameters, and ensuring safety standards. Ideal candidates should have a certificate or diploma in a relevant field and 1–3 years of experience in surface finishing or electropolishing. Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in surface finishing or electropolishing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up parts for electropolishing.
• Operate and monitor EP equipment (tanks, rectifiers, filters, agitation systems).
• Check and record process parameters (voltage, current, temperature, chemical level, time).
• Handle and replenish chemical solutions under supervision.
• Inspect cleanliness and surface quality after EP/passivation.
• Assist in bath maintenance, filtration, and chemical top-up.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and report malfunctions.
• Maintain housekeeping and compliance with 5S and EHS.
• Support troubleshooting and process improvement.
• Label, store, and dispose of waste chemicals safely.

Skills

Basic understanding of electropolishing and chemical surface treatment

Ability to handle chemical equipment safely

Attention to detail and ability to follow strict process parameters

Good teamwork, discipline, and communication

Education

Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related technical field
