Electrician & Maintenance Technician (Multi-site UK)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician & Maintenance Technician to join our team and support operations across nine sites. This role involves a combination of electrical installation, inspection, and repair work, as well as general building maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have proven electrical experience aligned with UK standards and regulations (BS 7671), and be confident in maintaining and troubleshooting systems across multiple commercial or industrial sites.

This position is open to overseas candidates who meet the eligibility criteria under SOC Code 5241, with visa sponsorship available for the right applicant.

What You’ll Be Doing
Electrical Work

A recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)

Review and interpret technical documents, including wiring diagrams, circuit drawings, and specifications.

Install, connect, and test electrical wiring, systems, and equipment such as fuse boxes, lighting, machinery, and control panels.

Select, cut, and lay wires; connect them to sockets, plugs, and terminals through crimping, soldering, brazing, or bolting.

Cut, bend, and install electrical conduit and trunking systems to ensure neat and compliant wiring pathways.

Assemble and install electrical components, using hand and power tools where necessary.

Conduct routine inspection and testing to ensure compliance with UK Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).

Diagnose electrical faults using test equipment and repair or replace defective parts as required.

Ensure all electrical work meets current UK Health & Safety and IET Wiring Regulations standards.

General Maintenance

Carry out general maintenance duties across multiple sites, including basic plumbing, carpentry, mechanical repair, and building upkeep.

Conduct planned preventive maintenance and respond promptly to reactive issues.

Support site managers and teams to maintain safe and efficient facilities operations.

Keep detailed maintenance records and report on work completed, materials used, and any recurring issues.

Multi-Site Support

Travel regularly between sites to conduct inspections, repairs, and installations.

Prioritise workloads effectively and manage time independently.

Liaise with contractors and external suppliers as needed to complete site works efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

A recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent international qualification)

Proven experience as an electrician or electrical fitter in commercial or industrial settings.

Understanding of UK electrical standards and safe working practices (BS 7671).

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.

Strong practical skills and attention to detail.

General maintenance experience (basic plumbing, joinery, mechanical work, etc).

Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel between multiple locations.

Good communication in - English (spoken and written), Chinese speaker is a big plus!

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Eligible under SOC Code 5241 – Electricians and Electrical Fitters (visa sponsorship available).

Bonus Points For

17th or 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification (or willingness to get one)

Experience in facilities maintenance or multi-site operations.

Familiarity with UK H&S and building compliance standards
