Job description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chargeman AO/A1 to join our team at Bradken Casting (M) Sdn. Bhd. in Merlimau Melaka. As a Chargeman AO/A1, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and overseeing the operation of our casting production facility. This is a full-time position that offers opportunities for career progression and development.

What you'll be doing

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the casting production facility, ensuring efficient and effective production processes

Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all casting equipment and machinery

Coordinate and supervise the work of production operators and technicians to ensure timely and high-quality output

Implement and monitor safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment

Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to identify and implement process improvements

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production, maintenance, and quality control

What we're looking for

Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Chargeman in the engineering or manufacturing industry with AO or A1 certification from Suruhanjaya Tenaga

Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of casting equipment and machinery

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to troubleshoot and resolve production issues

Strong leadership and people management skills to effectively coordinate and supervise a team of production operators and technicians

Proficient in the use of relevant software and computer systems for production management and reporting

Strong commitment to safety and quality standards

He/She must register their certificate under Bradken LV (low-voltage) installation upon hiring

Able to work in shifts and 6-day work week
