JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and oversee the full spectrum of electrical works for data centre projects, including design review, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Manage project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery and compliance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and site issues effectively.
- Review and approve electrical system designs, drawings, equipment schedules, method statements, and technical submissions.
- Plan, monitor, and control project resources, costs, and schedules to ensure efficient project execution.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality workmanship, compliance with codes, and adherence to workplace safety standards.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and integration of mission‑critical electrical systems, including MV/LV systems, UPS, switchgear, and generators.
- Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting, system reliability, and optimization for high‑availability operations.
- Prepare technical reports, progress reports, and project documentation for management and client review.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data centre electrical engineering.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in electrical works, with at least 3 years in mission‑critical projects such as data centres.
- Strong knowledge of MV/LV distribution systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, and electrical protection systems.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams in large‑scale construction projects.
- Familiar with local authority regulations, codes, and standards relevant to electrical installations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, detail‑oriented, and results‑driven, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience in design‑and‑build environments and knowledge of commissioning protocols (e.g., IST, FAT, SAT) will be an advantage.
