Job description
The role

As an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical and instrumentation systems at our Nestlé manufacturing facility in Shah Alam, Selangor. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to apply your technical expertise and contribute to the smooth and efficient operations of our state-of-the-art production plant.

Key responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment, including motors, control panels, automated systems, and sensors
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and instrumentation faults, and implement effective solutions to restore normal operation
  • Carry out routine inspections and testing of electrical and instrumentation systems to identify and address potential issues
  • Liaise with the engineering team to implement upgrades and modifications to the electrical and instrumentation infrastructure
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant safety standards and guidelines
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical or Instrumentation Technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems, including their design, installation, and troubleshooting
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and tools, and the ability to interpret technical schematics and manuals
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and resolve issues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the continuity of production
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with engineers, operators, and other stakeholders
  • Commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
