Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support solar farm and BESS projects in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The role involves developing electrical designs, conducting site supervision, and leading testing and commissioning processes to ensure compliance with Malaysian standards. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD and registration with BEM is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical infrastructure, preferably in Solar PV or Substation projects.
• Registered with BEM (Board of Engineers Malaysia); possessing a Competent Engineer certificate from ST is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings and cable sizing for MV and HV systems.
• Design protection schemes and select settings for relays, breakers and switchgears to ensure system safety.
• Provide technical site supervision during the installation and commissioning phases.
• Lead the electrical testing & commissioning process before the plant goes commercial.
