What you will be doing (Key Responsibilities):
- Reporting Structure: The individual reports to the Section Head and Deputy Department Head
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Responsible for attending to machine breakdowns, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring the safe and functional operation of components
- Team Leadership: Leads technicians in machine repair, modification, and maintenance tasks
- Training: Provides training to technicians on repair procedures, electrical knowledge and machine modifications
- Machine Study: Conducts studies for machine modifications, implements permanent solutions for breakdowns, and handles parts procurement
- Compliance: Follows all systems and maintenance regulations
- Liason: Communicate with superiors regarding machine on change or unresolved technical problems
- Documentation: Prepares breakdown report, updates maintenance records, and manages document control related to machine manual, drawings and revisions
- Safe Wiring: Possesses extensive knowledge of wiring techniques
- Process Improvement: Engages in time studies, line balancing, and process improvements to reduce manufacturing overhead
- Process Documentation: Establishes process documentation and work instructions to support changes and improvements
- ISO Compliance and Lean Activities: Ensures compliance with ISO requirements and participants in Lean/Kaizen activities
- Collaboration: Works with other departments to improve product quality and contribute to cost containment projects
- Guidance and Leadership: Provides guidance to maintenance members, demonstrating the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Additional Duties: Performs any other duties as directed by the immediate supervisor or assigned by management
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance for manufacturing equipment, with 3+ years in a leadership role
- Licenses and Certifications: PW4 license with the ability to provide endorsement is an advantage
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Skills:
- Communication: Able to communicate efficiently at all levels; good command of written and oral English
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive, supervise, and motivate a team as a Team Leader
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve problems in both electrical tasks and interpersonal situations with team members
- Proactivity: Proactive, independent, and willing-to-learn attitude
- Familiar with troubleshooting PLC systems, motor controls, and machine wiring; Good knowledge of electrical safety standards and Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated and hardworking, with a willingness to work longer hours when necessary
- Training: Participate in communication skills, supervisory skills, motivational training, and other relevant programs to continuously improve abilities and performance
