Position Title: Electrical Engineer (Technical / Project)
Working Location: Tapah, Perak
Working Hours: 5 days (Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 5.30pm)
Salary Package: Basic salary up to RM6,500 + Variable Bonus
Duration: Permanent Role
Key Responsibilities
In the scope of yearly CAPEX cycle: Study industrial projects (parts of the plant) based on the identified needs; conduct pre-studies and propose practical solutions that lead to a technical specification and budget.
Manage and implement projects agreed in the yearly CAPEX plan, scope: electrical engineering, supervision of construction, and support during commissioning.
Phases of engineering: SLD, electrical load/layout/concept design, basic design, detailed design, and shop drawings (some parts may be outsourced).
Work closely with other engineering disciplines—process, mechanical, automation—as well as civil and structural specialists for the projects.
Prepare Technical Specifications and Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and review/analyse quotations together with the procurement team.
Monitor and track assigned CAPEX project progress while meeting budget, schedule, quality, and safety, health and environment (SHE) standards.
Support the plants during major maintenance activities, unexpected electrical issues, and improvements to existing plant electrical systems.
Follow and promote a “safety first” mindset, both within and outside of the company.
Support quarterly cash-out forecasting for assigned CAPEX projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; degrees in Automation or Instrumentation Engineering are an advantage.
Minimum 5 years of experience in project management and process plant electrical work, including design, engineering, construction, and commissioning.
Strong knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and automation installation and commissioning for industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, with basic knowledge of mechanics, steel structures, civil works, automation, and construction methods (e.g., lifting and scaffolding).
Able to read, understand, and work with engineering drawings and technical documents.
Proficient in EPlan and AutoCAD
Comfortable working in various weather conditions, dusty environments, and roles that may involve physical demands.
