Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our electrical systems and equipment. You will provide technical leadership and expertise in electrical maintenance and improvement projects while promoting a culture of safety and excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced technology and lead initiatives to enhance the performance and reliability of electrical systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior technicians, and drive continuous improvement efforts to optimize processes, reduce downtime, and support overall plant productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Safety Leadership: Promote a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to safety protocols, developing safe systems of work, and leading by example.
  • Electrical System Management: Lead and ensure that electrical systems meet technical and quality standards. Assist the Senior Electrical Engineer in the development and continuous improvement of electrical systems in line with the site master plan.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, including induction motors, breakers, motor drives, and other critical devices.
  • System Optimization: Implement KAIZEN and other improvement activities to enhance the efficiency of workshop processes and reduce equipment downtime.
  • Technical Mentorship: Mentor electrical technicians, providing guidance on inspection, repair, and maintenance of electrical devices, ensuring a robust system is in place.
  • Shutdown Planning and Execution: Prepare detailed Preventive Maintenance (PVM), Monthly Shutdown, and Annual Shutdown schedules. Compile comprehensive shutdown plans and ensure timely execution.
  • Equipment Reliability: Ensure availability and reliability of spare parts for induction motors, variable speed drives, and other electrical devices. Implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting: Assist the Senior Executive in preparing reports on machinery health, machine downtime, root cause failure analysis, and cost breakdowns to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • 5S and Best Practices Implementation: Support the development and implementation of 5S best practices and safety protocols to maintain a well-organized and safe work environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and system improvement in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
  • Ability to lead and mentor technical teams to ensure effective maintenance and repair processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Knowledge of KAIZEN, 5S, and other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
