Job summary

A manufacturing company in Port Klang is looking for an Electrical Engineer to be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of various electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation, with 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia is essential. This role involves writing SOPs, troubleshooting electrical issues, and supervising contractors on site.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.
  • Hands-on experience with control panels, wiring, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Basic PLC knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical parts of the machine.
  • Writing of SOP for the equipment and planning maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshoots and provides technical solutions for electrical problems.
  • Responsible for the development of manufacturing equipment and introducing updates.
  • Ensures maintenance department is properly equipped for electrical services.
  • Monitors and supervises external contractors performing work on site.

Job description

Responsible for the installation, commissioning, daily inspection and maintenance of the electrical parts of the machine, such as pellets extrusion, washing line, sheeting line, thermoforming machine, chiller systems, air compression system, wastewater treatment system etc;

Writing of SOP for the equipment stated above, which include the planning of equipment maintenance schedule and execution of the planned maintenance;

Troubleshoots and provides technical solutions to solve electrical problems on the plant's equipment;

Responsible for the development of related manufacturing equipment, through introducing of new advance equipment and upgrading of existing equipment

Ensures that maintenance department is equipped with optimum manpower, tools, equipment and proper working systems to manage electrical maintenance services.

Monitors and supervises external contractors performing work at site.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering / Automation or related field.

2–5 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.

Hands-on experience with control panels, wiring, and industrial electrical systems.

Basic PLC knowledge is an advantage.

Able to communicate in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
