Overview

Electrical Design Engineer (Senior/ Junior)

Client: Consumer electronics manufacturing

Tenure: Permanent

Location: Batu Kawan, Penang

Headcount: 7

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for electrical component selection, electrical drawing design, and BOM preparation.
• Develop PLC/HMI control programs and conduct equipment debugging.
• Perform electrical tests and generate relevant test reports.
• Follow up on project implementation, assess potential risks, and prepare contingency plans.
• Design electrical solutions, and edit, organize, and archive technical documentation.
• Liaise with international clients and participate in technical meetings for domestic and overseas projects.

Key Requirements

Must-have

• Bachelor degree or above in electrical engineering or related feild
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Beckhoff motion control development.
• Familiarity with electrical instruments (e.g., multimeters, signal generators).
• Proficiency in EPLAN for independent electrical schematic design and BOM generation.
• Experience with Beckhoff CX5210/CX5240, IPC, and other hardware applications

Good-to-have

• Strong programming skills with ability to independently develop PLC/HMI programs using TwinCAT3.
• Mandarin is a MUST preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients (Write/ Speak / Listen)
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (TCP/IP, EAP, MODBUS_TCP, RS485 MODBUS_RTU).
• Understanding of servo/stepper motor control principles and EtherCAT-based motion control.
• Experience in 3C industry automation testing, upper/lower computer collaborative development, or automated production line development is preferred.
• Ability to communicate technical content in English is preferred.
