Job summary

A leading engineering company in Malaysia seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical control panels. You will prepare schematics using AutoCAD Electrical and ensure compliance with safety standards. A Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering and 1-2 years of relevant experience are required. The role demands strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Frequent travel may be necessary for project needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 – 2 years in automation or equipment integration environment.

• Knowledge of looping & control systems & PLC System.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical control panels, including panel box layout and wiring diagrams.
• Prepare detailed schematics and component arrangements using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
• Select and size electrical components such as breakers, contactors, relays, and terminal blocks.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
• Work closely with PLC programmers to ensure wiring and I/O allocation match the control logic.
• Coordinate with project engineers and technicians for panel assembly and installation.
• Provide technical support during panel fabrication and site installation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 – 2 years in automation or equipment integration environment
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Experience in panel design and layout for industrial or commercial applications.
• Knowledge of looping & control systems & PLC System.
• Experience preparing BOM (Bill of Materials) and electrical documentation.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
• Knowledge of IEC or local electrical standards.
• Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring practices, and control circuits.
• Good understanding of power distribution and I/O signal wiring.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
