Job summary

A contracting company in Selangor seeks an Electrical / Civil Inspector of Works with at least 5 years of experience. The role involves site supervision, coordination, and ensuring quality standards are maintained. Candidates must possess relevant qualifications and be registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as Inspector of Work. Experience in electrical infrastructure construction is preferred. Must be independent and capable of working under tight schedules and long hours.

Qualifications

ELECTRICAL / CIVIL INSPECTOR OF WORKS (PJ, INFRA WORKS)

Electrical / Civil Inspector of Work (PJ, INFRA WORKS) with minimum 5 years experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Require to perform site supervision and coordination to ensure that the works carried out by the contractors are within quality standards and correct specification.
• To regularly report to relevant superiors on the progress of the works and the problem areas encountered especially in the respect of defective, outstanding or non-conforming works or delayed works.
• To monitor closely the work progress as scheduled in the Master Program Plan and follow up with the consultant on the stage billings.
• To keep detailed records, daily reports, testing reports, inspection forms, for all work‑in‑progress.
• To attend the inspection & testing carried out by contractors and to ensure all the reports are properly documented.

Requirement

• Candidate must possess relevant qualification in Electrical / Civil or equivalent.
• Candidate must register with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as Inspector of Work (IOW).
• Preferably with experience in infra works.
• Possess experience in Electrical infrastructure construction.
• Independent and resourceful.
• Capable of working under tight schedule and long hours.
