The Australian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur invites applications for the position of Economic Research Officer within the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Employment will be offered on a fixed-term contract basis for a period of one (1) year, with the possibility of renewal. The position is to commence as soon as possible.
The position is a locally engaged position within the Australian High Commission.
Reporting to the First Secretary (Trade and Economic), the Economic Research Officer has responsibility for researching and analysing developments in Malaysian economic and trade policy, including the Malaysia-Australia trade and investment relationship, trade negotiations, and Malaysia’s trade and investment relationships with third countries. He or She also has responsibility for organising and coordinating visits.
