Work you’ll do
  • This role touches all aspects of accounting from Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory recording, Cash Management, Fixed assets, Monthly Account Reconciliations, Credit Analysis, Payroll and other special projects as needed.
  • Maintain the general ledger accounts by monitoring journal entries, preparing monthly accruals, prepayments and other manual entries and reconciling accounts on a monthly basis
  • Year-end statutory financial statements preparation.
  • Accounts receivable – assist with the invoicing process and monitor collections.
  • Payment processing – setting up online bank payments and seeking approvals.
  • Assist with outsourcing or technology related special projects giving insightful analysis when needed.
  • Assist in the year-end consolidation process of clients.
  • Assist in the provision of information and transactions as necessary and liaise with auditors and tax agents.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or professional qualification.
  • Must have 2 years or more experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Self-starter, organized, attention to detail, deadline oriented, hands-on.
  • Ability to lead a team of junior professionals in a fast-paced team environment on several projects.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, MS Navision, Xero and other accounting systems.
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal pressures.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • MS Office experience required including extensive Excel knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
