Job summary

A leading professional services firm in Malaysia is seeking an Accounting and Reporting Advisory Analyst to prepare financial statements and assist junior associates. Candidates should hold a CPA or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience in auditing or financial statement preparation. Strong knowledge of IFRS and good communication skills are essential. Work you’ll do
  1. Preparation of complete set financial statements under IFRS/ SFRS
  2. Preparation of consolidation workings for group financial reporting
  3. Preparation, conversion and review of financial statements into eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) format for filing in Singapore
  4. Assist in supervising and performing extensive reviews of the working papers of junior associate team members
  5. Assist in client’s finance function activities (ie: assist client in completing reporting package, consolidation, audit schedules etc)
  6. Perform various administrative work with client portfolios
  7. Assist in managing and coaching junior associate team members

Requirements
  1. CPA / ACCA / ICAEW
  2. Bachelor of Accounting / Economics / Finance
  3. Minimum 2 years of audit, or financial statements & conso preparation experience in a reputable audit firm
  4. Has sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  5. Good understanding of business and risk management issues
  6. Meticulous and detail-oriented
  7. Able to work a fast-paced work environment and handles multiple engagements simultaneously and to be able to integrate into different organisations and cultures
  8. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows
