A European Union delegation in Kuala Lumpur is hiring a Driver responsible for safely transporting staff and visitors while providing administrative support. The ideal candidate must have a valid Class D driving license, at least five years of driving experience, and a good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Driver (Local Agent Group V)
The European Union Delegation to Malaysia is seeking a Driver for its Administration Section. The Delegation works closely with the embassies and consulates of the 27 EU Member States. The Driver will provide driving services for the Delegation’s executive and service vehicles on a rotational basis and assist with general administrative support tasks under the supervision of the Head of Administration.
This is a two‑year fixed‑term contract, with a base salary starting at MYR 3,002.00 (Group V – Step 5). A competitive benefits package is offered, including annual leave, public holidays, medical insurance and a retirement savings plan. Overtime will be authorised and compensated in accordance with Article 11(4) of the LA‑CE, taking into account mandatory rest‑period requirements for drivers under local law.

Only complete applications received on time via email will be considered. The successful candidate will be subject to a medical check and, where applicable, a background check before recruitment is confirmed.
After the application deadline, eligible applications will be reviewed by the Selection Committee. Depending on the number of applications, successive phases may include short‑listing based on the cover letter and CV, documentary proof of education, professional experience and driving licence, a practical driving assessment, and a short written test. The three best‑ranked candidates will be invited for an interview.
