Job summary

A leading construction firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Draughtsman to handle diverse drawing tasks related to steel structures and roof trusses. The ideal candidate will review and prepare technical drawings, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards. Requirements include a qualification in Engineering or Architecture and at least two years of experience. Proficiency in AUTOCAD, 3D MAX, and a solid understanding of steel structure projects are essential for success in this role. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure are also required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in related field.
• Preferable to have steel structure experience.
• Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review tender drawing including structural and architectural 2D/3D.
• Prepare drawing including submission, fabrication and installation.

Job description

Draughtsman (Steel Structure & Roof Truss)

1. Review tender drawing inclusive of structural & architectural 2D/3D
2. Prepare drawing inclusive submission, fabrication & installation
3. To prepare all technical drawings for preliminary, tender, construction, shop drawing & as-built drawing
4. To ensure final design comply with regulations and quality standards
5. To generate for BOM list according to drawing and specification
6. To maintain drawings documentations & storing
7. To obtain and assemble data to complete designs, visiting job sites to compile measurement as necessary according to client requirements and specifications
8. Liaising with engineers to extract or design detailed drawings
9. Able to work independently with minimum supervision and able to complete task with time given
10. To assist project team and any other work as directed

Requirements:

• Candidates must possess at least SPM/DIPLOMA/DEGREE in Engineering / Architecture or similar qualification
• At least 2 years’ experience working in the related field
• Required skill: AUTOCAD, 3D MAX or FRAMECAD and Microsoft Office
• With steel structure experience is preferable
• Able to work under pressure to meet deadline work schedules
• Ability to work with a team
• Strong organisational, multi-tasking and time-management skills
