Job summary

A leading semiconductor company in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Manager to lead and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) for the Malaysia site. In this role, you will ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards and drive quality initiatives, including zero defect programs. The ideal candidate should have a Master's or PhD in Science or Engineering and over 7 years of experience in Quality Management within semiconductor manufacturing. Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills are essential.

Job description

Your Role

• Lead and manage the overall Quality Management System (QMS) for the Malaysia site.
• Define, develop, deploy, and maintain QMS frameworks and procedures in alignment with organizational and industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 requirements.
• Drive execution of quality strategies and programs, including the Next Level of Zero Defect (NLoZD) initiative.
• Monitor, analyze, and report Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as defined by BE Quality Management.
• Provide leadership and foster a high-performance culture across the Quality organization.
• Act as the primary Quality interface for BE QM QED, BE QM QSMT, and IFAG QM for Quality Business Process implementation and new requirement roll‑out.
• Strengthen Quality governance and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional and global stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of quality objectives.

Your Profile

• Degree, Master’s, or PhD in Science or Engineering (preferred fields include Semiconductor Technology, Microelectronics, Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Science).
• Minimum 7 years of diversified experience in Quality Management within semiconductor manufacturing.
• Proven experience managing and developing Quality Systems in a high‑technology manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 standards.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with a high‑performance mindset.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and quality excellence initiatives.
