Job summary

A recruitment agency based in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a leader to manage the Engineering Department. This role includes implementing strategies for improvement activities that support manufacturing operations. Candidates should have at least 15 years of experience in related fields, especially in semiconductor manufacturing, and demonstrate strong problem-solving, leadership, and technical skills. Competitive candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and proficiency in communication.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in related fields, preferably in manufacturing semiconductors.
  • Experience in leadership roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Total Engineering Division activities to improve OEE and reduce costs.
  • Provide daily reports to the Plant Director on Engineering activities.
  • Conduct monthly capacity reviews and strategy proposals.
  • Manage manpower needs and employee development in Engineering.
  • Implement Engineering project proposals for new product introduction.
  • Control Engineering expenses to meet KPIs.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure quality and delivery.

Job Summary

Lead and manage the overall Engineering Department which includes to provide and implement strategy of improvement activities to support manufacturing operation to achieve production plan while maintaining global competitiveness in Quality, Cost and Delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage Total Engineering Division activities for OEE improvement, Failure Cost reduction, Material cost down, Maintenance cost down and NPI by weekly review to achieve monthly and yearly Companys KPI.
  • Provide daily report to the Plant Director on Engineering progress activities and issues related to equipment or engineering that impact operations, safety and quality.
  • Conduct monthly review on capacity for equipment and tools to meet the PPT plan and make strategy to meet its requirement as well as preparing proposal on new investment.
  • Manage and control total manpower needs, hiring and employees competencies development for Engineering division.
  • Manage and implement Engineering projects proposal as required by production related to new product introduction (NPI) or volume up.
  • Manage and control Engineering expenses to meet the Companys KPI without affecting operations requirement.
  • Manage and monitor Plating subcon vendor to ensure quality, capacity and delivery are met as per the production plan.

Qualification:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Manufacturing/or related field from recognized Higher Institution.
Skills & knowledge Required:
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Leadership skills and able to motivate others.
  • Strong Technical and equipment knowledge with good understanding of manufacturing operations including new technology.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Experience :

At least 15 years experience in related fields, preferably in manufacturing semiconductors and familiar working with high-growth, fast-paced and changing work environment. Highly experience in leadership roles would be an added advantage.
