Job description

Director of Clinical Development, you will be responsible for overseeing client relationships, contributing to strategic business growth, and managing critical processes such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

This role requires collaboration with cross‑functional teams, including Clinical Operations and Business Development, to ensure the successful acquisition and management of clinical projects. You will be the main point of contact for clients from the initial engagement through contract closure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and actively participate in client meetings, presentations, and bid defense meetings, representing the company's values and commitment to client success
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and present relevant sales materials and strategic proposals.
  • Manage the RFP process from a project management perspective, ensuring timely and accurate inputs from various functions, and overseeing proposal development
  • Maintain strong relationships with potential clients, ensuring timely communication and excellent customer management throughout the acquisition process
  • Travel within assigned regions to meet potential clients and promote the company's services
  • Support vendor selection processes and critically review quotations to choose the best vendor for each project
  • Identify business development opportunities, including upselling and cross‑selling to existing clients.
  • Ensure compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality standards
  • Complete required trainings on time and maintain accurate records in the TRACK system
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field
  • At least 10 years of experience in clinical development in a CRO
  • Strong strategic and business development mindset
  • Excellent negotiation, customer service, and leadership skills
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple high‑value projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to international travel
  • Deep understanding of ICH‑GCP, ISO14155, EMA, FDA, and other regulatory guidelines
  • Proficiency in business applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
