VC Engineering Sdn Bhd is a clean room contractor providing total engineering solutions across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore since 2010, specializing in high-profile EPCM, EPCC, and Design & Built projects for semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and data center industries. We’re hiring an experienced Senior Design & Proposal Engineer to join our growing team and support project tendering, design coordination, and cost estimation activities.

What you’ll be doing

Undertake detailed engineering design for MEP, cleanroom system, control system for various type of commercial and industrial projects, ensuring adherence to relevant codes, standards and best practices.

Provide cost estimation, quantity take-off, and tender documentation for design-and-build projects.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to align design with project requirements and budgets.

Actively follow up and meet with client on the project requirement and expectation. Conduct site visits whenever necessary, including outstation.

Evaluate materials, equipment specifications, and vendor quotations for technical and cost compliance.

Support project planning and budgeting by providing technical inputs and value engineering proposals.

Prepare shop drawings, review material submissions, and review work method statements to facilitate project construction work.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and safety regulations.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements.

What we’re looking for

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.

Experience in design and/or cost estimation, preferably in the industrial construction sector.

Strong technical knowledge of engineering design principles, construction methods, and cost estimation techniques especially during tendering process.

Proficiency in using design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit) and cost estimation tools.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication and decision-making skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
