Job summary

A consulting engineering firm in Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer responsible for producing electrical designs from concept to detail. The ideal candidate will possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering, along with 5 years of experience in a consultant or contractor firm. The role involves coordinating with teams, ensuring regular updates, and translating customer requirements into feasible designs while participating in project meetings.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand manufacturer secondary control & protection scheme drawings.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical design and design calculation from concept to detail design.
• Responsible for design contents and follow-ups for client approvals.
• Participate in progress meetings and workshops with other disciplines.
• Translate customer's requirements into design and evaluate feasibility.

Job description

Produce electrical design and design calculation from concept to detail design.

Able to understand manufacturer secondary control & protection scheme drawings is added advantage.

Responsible for the design contents as assigned together with its follow-up client’s/consultant’s or authority approval if necessary.

Reporting to line manager and ensure regular progress update to line manager / senior engineer / project manager.

Participate in the progress/coordination meetings and workshops for design project with other disciplines.

Translate customer’s requirement into design. Evaluate design feasibility and provide technical expertise to meet customer’s request.

Coordinate and plans work for other drafters to complete a project assignment.

On site support for electrical related issue if necessary.

Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time

To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so set by the BOD.

Requirements

• 5 year and above working experience in consultant/contractor firm.
• Candidate possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in electrical or electrical & electronics engineering.
