Job summary

A leading supply chain solutions provider in Malaysia is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to ensure supply continuity and maintain optimum inventory levels. This role involves developing forecasts, managing inventory, and closely collaborating with key stakeholders, suppliers, and customers to enhance supply chain efficiency and responsiveness. Candidates should have at least a Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain and 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in FMCG. Strong analytical and presentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain from a recognized university.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience in forecasting and inventory demand planning is needed.

Job description

Ensure supply continuity to customers and maintain inventory at an optimum level through close monitoring of market movement to react to actual sales performance. Work closely and communicate effectively with key stakeholders to provide solutions to customers’ requirements as needed.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop statistical forecast and manage inventory planning for multi-temperature finished goods.
  • Upkeep high forecast accuracy and good inventory management practice to ensure optimum stock keeping and consistent product supply to the market.
  • Close interaction with key stakeholders to understand market intelligence, promotion mechanics, and supply plans, to reflect in forecasting model and inventory plan.
  • Close monitoring of inventory supply status and provide prompt alert/communication for actions.
  • Lead and collaborate closely with suppliers, customers, and internal departments on future projections, inventory strategies, and planning for optimum inventory management within the system.
  • Weekly reporting and planning review with internal stakeholders to share performance, event, projection, opportunity, risk, concern, and action for continuous inventory improvement.
  • Monthly review and reporting of slow-moving and obsolete products for action.
  • Ownership to follow through on incidences and provide timely clear communication till closure.
  • Experienced on go-live projects will be an added advantage.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Diploma / Bachelor in Logistics or Supply Chain or related field from recognized university.
  • 2-3 years of working experience in Supply Chain Management, Planning Management.
  • Preferably from FMCG experience.
  • Strong analytical & presentation skills.
  • Experience in forecasting and inventory / demand planning.
