Overview

Manage the APAC demand planning team supporting China, India, Japan, Southeast Asia and Korea to maintain industry standard KPIs with a primary responsibility for forecast accuracy while supporting efforts to achieve customer service levels and inventory targets. Lead the Demand Planning process to align sales targets to an operational forecast and continuously monitor the results. Maintain a high utilization level of Donaldson standard supply chain planning processes and tools. This position will support 1 or more locations as a Demand Planner in addition to managing the team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Execute the daily, weekly and monthly demand planning processes (i.e. demand outlier adjustments, new parts, etc.) to fine tune the forecast to achieve forecast accuracy and customer delivery targets.
  • Lead the Monthly Forecast Consensus process with entity‑specific business teams and collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to achieve KPIs.
  • Manage the centralized demand planning team located in the central services centre (KL) by providing guidance, development, support and feedback to achieve organizational goals.
  • Work with senior leaders of Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and customers to continuously improve the absolute and net forecast accuracy.
  • Contribute to annual planning cycles to determine supply chain planning related KPIs.
  • Contribute to key customer satisfaction KPIs: OTD, late lines, inbound OTD, inventory amount/turns/dollars/turns.
  • Other duties as determined at the discretion of management.

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or Finance) or relevance.

Technical Competency & Skills:

  • 3-5 years of Demand Planning and Management experience.
  • Thorough understanding of common industry‑wide supply chain planning processes is required.
  • Proficiency with common ERP systems (Oracle greatly preferred) is required.
  • Experience using a Demand Planning software package is preferred.
  • S&OP process experience is preferred.

  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with every level of the organization.
  • Must be able to identify/hire/train/manage/encourage a team of direct reports.
  • Maintains effective working relationships across the organization.
  • Must be able to influence peers and managers across the organization.

Others (travel, language, etc.):

  • We are seeking a candidate with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Other languages like Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin is preferred but not required.
