Demand Analyst - Fixed Term Contract - 1 Year
The Demand Analyst will be responsible for the timely completion of baseline forecasts and adjusting the statistical model, provided to the Demand Partners in a timely manner for review, feedback and re-work in advance of the S&OP governance forums. Accountable to produce informative, visual, and consumable information for the Demand Partners, enabling effective decision making and prioritization of actions.

Work Location : 1 Powerhouse, PJ ( 5 mins walk from Bandar Utama MRT)
Reporting to : Demand Planning Manager
Working Hours : 2PM to 11PM
Key responsibilities
- Develop 3rd Party Customer Demand baseline forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation.
- Produce mid-term 3rd Party Customer Demand forecast (4–12 months) for the Demand Partners to engage with Channel / Sub-Region Sales Leads.
- Produce EUM roll-ups along with the longer term forecast (12–24 months) for Demand Partner to communicate to EUM Leads.
- Identify products and customers requiring more input from Commercial and inform Demand Partner.
- Analyse 3rd Party Customer Demand variability, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, replenishment analysts, and other sources.
- Collaborate with Demand Partners in the regions to provide accurate and timely 3rd Party Customer Demand baseline forecasts, in alignment with the S&OP calendar.
- Review historical sales trends, research 3rd Party Customer Demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
- Act upon feedback from the Demand Partners to enhance 3rd Party Customer Demand forecasting process.
- Assist with root cause analysis and identify algorithm enhancement opportunities.
- Review forecast vs sales and forecast accuracy (M-2) and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Choose and adjust the statistical model and complete manual run.
- Capture insights & opportunities and publication for review by Demand Partner/Region.
- Cleanse the Sales history (including LTO's and product alignment).
- Update CVC and system forecast where applicable.
- Gather and prepare data and insights for consensus conversations, and materials for S&OP demand review and executive review meetings.
- Update System Forecast (including satellite systems) and release to supply network planning.
- Generate portfolio optimisation insights on which SKUs could be rationalised/optimised for Portfolio review meeting.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Supply Chain, Business / Commercial discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in demand planning.
- Good working understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations.
- Experience within a Manufacturing background will be an advantage.
